In the March 10th edition of Spencer Lewis’ Short Track Notebook, we announce the 4th member of the Motorama Young Guns panel, chat with Flamboro Speedway Late Model champion Dale Shaw and take a sneak peek at Coltin Everingham’s 2015 ride.
The Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo is fast approaching, and Inside Track is proud to present the Young Guns panel for the 4th straight year. The on-stage sit-down has included some of the top young stars in Ontario racing in seasons past, and Inside Track is excited to continue this tradition.
Already, Open Wheel Modified standout Dustin Jackson, 2014 Sunset Speedway Mini Stock Rookie of the Year Jordan Howse and Ohsweken Speedway Crate Sprint Car feature winner Aaron Turkey have already accepted invitations to be a part of the 6 driver panel. They will be joined on stage March 15th by our newest panel member, 2014 Barrie Speedway Thunder Car Rookie of the Year Jordan Latimer.
The third-generation star earned his first career stock car feature victory in 2014, and will head into 2015 in search of becoming the top freshman in a wildly competitive Sunset Speedway Ltd. Late Model division.
2014 Flamboro Speedway Late Model champion Dale Shaw (above, by Thompson Photography) recently invited us to his family’s Guelph, ON shop for an eye-opening face to face interview. The third-generation driver speaks about his first career title run, the role his father Jason plays in his racing program and what he expects from the inaugural season of the APC United Late Model Series presented by Grisdale. Sunset Speedway Super Stock regular Coltin Everingham has sent along these ‘in progress’ shots of his ride for the 2015 season. The Innisfil, ON driver has purchased a chassis from veteran Steve Cashmore, and will compete fulltime in search of his first career Sunset victory. Everingham will carry marketing support throughout the 2015 season courtesy of Eagle Eye Contracting, Smurf’s Towing, HWY 400 Transmission, Steel N Ink of Collingwood and Partimer Signs.
With the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo just days away, APC United Late Model Series presented by Grisdale Founder & President Luke Ramsay continues to announce the names of drivers that will play a role in the much anticipated event.
Today, Ramsay has confirmed that 2014 Sauble Speedway champion Jason Parker (above, by TW Robarts Photography) will take part in both the APC Tour On-Stage Q&A Session, scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 12:45pm in addition to an autograph session at the APC Booth on Saturday afternoon from 1:00-2:00pm.
Parker becomes the second driver announced for the Q&A session, and will be joined by former Sunset Speedway champion Mike Bentley as well as four other tour regulars that will be announced later this week.
