Ameliasburg, ON (September 22, 2022 )- As much as they look forward to their first or in some cases, next checkered flag, local racers know there is an opportunity to make lifelong friendships at their hometown speedway.
Ameliasburg, Ontario’s Adam Turner has a lengthy career in the weekly racing ranks. The 39-year-old father of three has scored some of his most memorable victories in equipment borrowed from a friend. During a recent weekend at Brockville Ontario Speedway, he wheeled his own Late Model ride and scored a ninth place finish in a Crate Sprint Car he was racing in place of Luke Stewart. Despite his extensive experience in the local dirt track racing wars, it was only the second time he’d campaigned a Sprinter.
“I’m happy that my friends know they can trust me to bring their machines back in one piece at the end of the night,” explained the talented runner. “Over the years, I’ve gained a reputation as the type of runner who’ll race anything anytime anywhere.”
Coming-up shortly – Friday, October 7 at Cornwall Motor Speedway – Turner will make his first career start in a Mini Stock during an event to honour the memory of Alexis Charbonneau – the 2022 track champion – who passed away recently after being struck by a car. Turner says he’s honoured to be one of the close to 50 cars that have already signed-up for the event.

“I’ve competed at Cornwall several times over the years. I don’t remember meeting Alexis, but racers always stick together and we’re happy to do what’s best for the good of the sport,” Adam Turner said. “This is an unfortunate situation but I’m thankful to Brittany Golden and her father Chris for giving me the opportunity to race their No. 85 car in this event and I’m really looking forward to seeing how I’ll do in my inaugural Mini Stock start.”
With several other marquee events on the local and regional schedules before the end of the season, Turner recently announced through his social media account that he’d be open to filling the seat in a 358 Mod or Sportsman-Modified ride in addition to his own Late Model and Street Stock equipment before the year wraps-up.
Family, friends…or car owners who might be looking for a driver can connect with Adam Turner through his Adam Turner Racing 92 Facebook page.
