TORONTO, ON – CTCC presented by Pirelli is happy to launch its 2020 season with the announcement of the new racing schedule. This coming season, CTCC will have a six-event calendar featuring the traditional two-race format for a total of twelve championship races. Taking the competition at the most exciting tracks in Canada, CTCC will go south of the border for the first time in its history and take the Championship at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
“I am very proud to be launching this new season’s calendar,” says Dominique Bondar, General Manager of CTCC. “Six events at six different racetracks is more challenging for the teams and it makes the competition more interesting. I am very satisfied with this schedule and I hope our fans will be happy to follow us and enjoy the track diversity.”
As it has become the traditional program opener for the past fourteen seasons, CTCC will start at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in May with the first double-header of the summer during the Castrol Victoria Day SpeedFest. Then, off to Shannonville Motorsport Park in June for the Summer Challenge and to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in July. With two events in August, CTCC will be returning to the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières at the beginning of August and going to Calabogie Motorsports Park the last weekend of August.
The last rounds of the year will be held at Circuit ICAR in September for its grand finale.
Canadian International AutoShow Contest: Once again, CTCC will be attending the Canadian International AutoShow at the Metro Toronto Convention Center from February 14 – 23 to meet with fans and engage with a great contest. Stay tuned for more details.
