BOWMANVILLE, ON – The NASCAR Canada Series returns to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) this weekend, September 5-6, for the WeatherTech 200, the penultimate race of the 2026 season.
A record-setting 39-car field is entered for the series’ second visit of the year with the championship battle taking centre stage as the season approaches its conclusion.

Defending series champion Marc-Antoine Camirand enters the weekend atop the standings with 539 points and an opportunity to clinch the 2026 NASCAR Canada Series Drivers’ Championship at CTMP. The driver of the No. 96 GM Paillé Chevrolet holds an 82-point advantage over L.P. Dumoulin, who sits second with 457 points, while Kevin Lacroix is third with 433 points.
The WeatherTech 200 will feature the return of two former champions. Cayden Lapcevich, the 2016 NASCAR Pinty’s Series champion, will be back behind the wheel alongside J.R. Fitzpatrick, the 2006 CASCAR Super Series champion. Both drivers will compete with Glenn Styres Racing and Velocity Race Cars.
Nicolas Barrette will make his NASCAR Canada Series debut this weekend behind the wheel of the No. 16 Groupe Boissonneault Chevrolet.
Last May, the series opened its season at CTMP, where Gary Klutt claimed the victory. Klutt is set to return behind the wheel of the No. 71 Legendary Motorcar Company Ltd Dodge this weekend.
On-track action begins Saturday with practice at 12:40 p.m. ET, followed by qualifying at 4:45 p.m. ET. Fans will have an opportunity to meet the drivers during the NASCAR Canada autograph session on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. ET.
The green flag for the WeatherTech 200 is scheduled to wave at 2:10 p.m. ET on Sunday.
