Hamilton, ON (August 2, 2017)- Despite coming out of the gate with more speed than previous weeks, Wally Wilson was dealt a tough finish as a result of fuel pump issues on Saturday night at Flamboro Speedway.
Wilson started off the night solidly, placing seventh in his first heat, followed by an eighth in his second qualifier.
Starting 14th for the 30-lap feature, he would avoid the early spins and kept up with the field, poised for a solid performance. However just before the halfway mark, the fuel pump issues would begin once again, forcing him to pull off the track and ending his night early. As a result, he was credited with a 16th-place finish.
Wilson’s OSCAAR Modified season will continue on Saturday, August 5 with his first visit of 2017 to Peterborough Speedway. He will then be behind the wheel of his Outlaw Midget on Sunday, August 6 at Sauble Speedway as part of the Battle at the Beach.
