MILLGROVE, Ontario (January 20, 2020) — The Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Series won’t be the only touring class crowning their champions at Flamboro Speedway, as there’s another class that you will want to watch in 2020.

The Can-Am T.Q. Midgets have revealed their 19-race schedule, which includes five visits to Flamboro Speedway in 2020, including their championship night.

The series will visit the 1/3 mile for their season opener on May 9, before returning on June 6, July 18, and August 22. They will then crown their 2020 Can-Am Midget T.Q. Champion at Flamboro on September 26.

For over 50 years, midget racing has been taking place across North America, with the Can-Am Midget racing group being one of the most successful clubs in both Canada and the United States. These single-seat open-cockpit style cars always seem to draw attention in seeing the determination of the individuals who strap behind the wheel.

The series visited Flamboro on three different occasions throughout the 2019 campaign, with Brandon Zavarella slicing through lap traffic to win in their first visit to the 1/3 mile on May 11. Darren Dryden would sweep the twin features on July 20 as part of his 2019 series championship campaign, while Steven Murdock and Brandon Hauck split the wins in August.

This announcement just increases the excitement ahead of 2020 after hearing details revealed between a pair of visits for the APC Series, and the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds having their first opportunity to chase after the Frostoberfest soap carvings trophy. You also cannot forget the opportunity for the Klotz Auto Repair & Machine Shop Mini Stocks to chase after $1,000 as part of the Gold Rush, the return of the Ontario Legends Series, or the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Series tour opening and closing their season at Flamboro.
