@PMRA_Q32 • Tony Positano is hoping to keep the momentum going. The Top Dragster driver won the recent round of Quick 32 Sportsman Series competition held at US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan, and is looking forward to the next event June 13-14 at the Empire Dragway in Leicester, New York.
We had a great race in Martin, said Positano, who hails from Toronto, Ontario. Everything went our way and we are hoping to continue at this next race.

Now in its sixth season, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series is presented by NAPA Auto Parts and the trip to the IHRA-sanctioned Western New York track will be the Series’ first.
Driving his Mike Bos dragster, powered by a supercharged 477-cubic inch Stefko Racing Engines powerplant, Positano took out Scott Wildgust of Wartburg, Ontario in the Top Dragster final at Martin, and then eliminated Top Sportsman driver Ken Langois of Michigan to win the event. With his success, Positano now holds the lead in the Championship Point Award Series at present.
Glen Vardy of Burlington, Ontario, who won the opening round with his Top Dragster, is second in points, followed by last year’s champs, the Top Sportsman team of Wilson & Gray of Ingersoll, Ontario.
Also racing for the first time at Empire will be the Pro Bike & Sled Series, a companion series to the Quick 32 Sportsman Series. Reigning PBSS champion Dan Cryderman of Thamesville, Ontario hold the lead in the Championship Point Award Series with his Pro Bike entry, followed by Mark Catanzaro of Port Huron Michigan and then Ted Glinny of Milton, Ontario. Both Cryderman and Catanzaro ride Suzukis, and Glinny rides a Kawasaki, all in Pro Bike. Now in its fourth year, the PBSS is presented by Wiseco Performance Products.
Qualifying for this augural race begins Friday June 13 at seven pm, followed by more qualifying Saturday June 14 at noon. Eliminations are scheduled to begin Saturday at 3:30 pm. For more information, visit: www.EmpireDragway.com
