(March 30, 2021)- The Raceline Radio Network, Canada’s National Radio Motorsport Authority, now into their twenty-ninth season on the air, is delighted to welcome CityNews 101.1 FM and 1310 AM Ottawa into The Raceline Radio Network family!
CityNews 101.1 FM and 1310 AM will air Raceline Radio Saturday afternoons at 5 pm Eastern starting Saturday April 10th.
“There has always been a strong auto racing following in Ottawa, the Valley and this market that reaches into Quebec, going back to the 1950’s at Lansdowne Park Stadium. The sport has a deep history here, so Raceline Radio fits very well into our lineup,” offered CityNews News Director Glennis Lane.
“Erik Tomas and The Raceline Radio Network is the recognized brand for motorsports coverage on News-Talk-Sports Radio across Canada and we’re excited to have ET and Raceline Radio on the air with us. The show is highly produced, fast paced and very entertaining, just like the sport itself,” Lane added.
“Glennis is right. Ottawa’s auto racing history goes back generations. With road racing, sports cars, formula cars, car clubs and motorcycles at Calabogie Motorsports Park, and long-planted drag racing roots at Luskville Dragway, both short drives from Ottawa, the local racing scene is as vibrant in the Nation’s Capitol as it is anywhere else in Canada. We are so pleased to stay connected to Ottawa’s race fans,” commented Raceline Radio Network Anchor Erik Tomas.
For addition contributions and to further promote Raceline Radio, Erik Tomas will also be available to CityNews 101.1 FM and 1310 AM show hosts and program producers for on-air discussion about news stories and issues pertaining to auto racing and related automotive topics.
CityNews 101.1 FM and 1310 AM joins a long list of Rogers Sports and Media stations on the Raceline Radio Network affiliate list including: co-flagship station Sportsnet 590 The FAN Toronto, Sportsnet 650 Vancouver, Sportsnet 960 The FAN Calgary and News 95.7 Halifax.
