Ohsweken, Merrittville & Humberstone Thunder Stock & Mini Stock Rules Meeting December 21‏

@OhswekenSpdway * OHSWEKEN, ON – Race teams and drivers are reminded that Ohsweken Speedway, Merrittville Speedway, and Humberstone Speedway are holding rules meetings together at the Best Western Premier C Hotel
by Carmen’s located at 1530 Stone Church Rd E in Hamilton, Ontario (next to Carmen’s Banquet Centre) on Sunday, December 21, 2014.

The meetings will include Ohsweken’s Thunder Stock and Mini Stock divisions, Merrittville’s Hoosier Stock and 4 Cylinder divisions, and Humberstone’s Street Stock and Mini Stock divisions, and have representation from all three tracks.

THUNDER STOCKS: Officials from Humberstone, Merrittville, and Ohsweken recently participated in lengthy discussions, and agreed to adopt a single set of rules for Thunder Stocks, Hoosier Stocks, and Street Stocks which will be in effect at all three tracks. The changes affecting those divisions at each track will be discussed at the meeting
this Sunday. An announcement will also be made regarding expansion of a traditional event, which will be of interest to drivers and teams across Southern Ontario.

MINI STOCKS: Humberstone, Merrittville, and Ohsweken officials have also agreed to work together on Mini Stock and 4 Cylinder division rules in order to bring them closer together. The changes affecting those divisions at each track will be also discussed at the meeting this Sunday.

SCHEDULE
1:00pm to 2:15pm – Mini Stocks and 4 Cylinders
2:30pm to 3:15pm – Thunder Stocks, Hoosier Stocks, and Street Stocks

About Ohsweken Speedway: Founded in 1996, Ohsweken Speedway is a motorsports complex which includes a 3/8 (0.375) mile clay oval track. The facility is owned by the Styres family, and located in the village of Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada. Ohsweken’s weekly Friday night racing program runs from May to September each year, featuring 360 Sprint Cars, Crate Sprint Cars, Thunder Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Bombers, while the season finishes each year with the annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals.
Ohsweken Speedway also hosts weekly Micro Sprint racing on Thursday nights, and has been a yearly stop on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series schedule since 2007.
