@RMGGM • @ProStockTour • @Riverside_NS – JAMES RIVER, NS – Management of Riverside International Speedway and the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour (PST) are pleased to announce Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick GMC has renewed its sponsorship of the Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick 150. The event is set for June 13 and is the season opener for Riverside, round three of 12 on the PST season.

The General Motors dealership, located in nearby Antigonish, has been a long-time sponsor of both the track and the series with its support dating back as far as 2006. Since 2008 the dealership has been the title sponsor of this first of three series events at Riverside during which time the race has grown from a 100-lap feature to the 150 laps it is now.

In its seven year history the Ron MacGillivray sponsored race has seen five different winners with two each for Antigonish’s Donald Chisholm and Fredericton, NB’s Shawn Tucker, along with one each for Charlottetown, PEI’s Greg Proude, and the late Mike Steven’s who was from Moncton, NB.

The defending champion of the Ron MacGillivray 150 is J.R. Fitzpatrick, a NASCAR Canadian Tire Series driver from Appin, ON, who – in his only series start to-date – put on a driving exhibition to remember while leading all 150 laps en route to the victory.

The Napa Sportsman Series will provide support class action for the Ron MacGillivray 150 on June 13. Advance tickets for the event will be available in May. More event details will be posted at www.riversidespeedway.ca as available. Sign up for the Riverside News to have track newsletters delivered directly to your device of choice.

The Ron MacGillivray 150 is one of six PST events to be broadcast live online by Race Time Radio.
