MILLGROVE, Ontario (December 5, 2019)— The details surrounding the 2020 Flamboro Speedway schedule continue to be revealed, and things just keep getting better and more exciting with each turn of the page.
On the last weekend of November, the drivers from each division met with track officials to go over the rules and procedures for next season. While the actual changes were minimal, it gave the chance for everybody to clear the air surrounding any questions they may have. Leaving those meetings, the smiles and excitement about the future were high.
The Klotz Auto Repair & Machine Shop Mini Stock drivers were among the happiest, hearing the details surrounding another big event for them this race season. On top of chasing after a unique trophy at Frostoberfest in October, they will be hoping to take home a big paycheck mid-summer.
On Tuesday, June 30 2020, Flamboro Speedway will host their annual Gold Rush event with the four-cylinder drivers vowing for a cheque of $1000 for the race winner.
While the rest of the details – format, full payout structure, other divisions in action – have yet to be revealed, it seems a fitting way to celebrate our country’s birthday (a day early mind you) in continuing to follow a track tradition.
Through the track’s history, the Gold Rush has grown rich roots, with both Super Late Model and Pro Late Model drivers each getting a chance to chase a big paycheck. The event also becomes unique with the top qualifier having the opportunity to double their payday for winning – by electing to give up where they qualified to start at the tail of the field.
As noted, the rest of the details for the entire 2020 schedule – as well as this event in particular, will be revealed by track officials closer to the start of the season. Though regardless of the direction, this promises to be yet another weekend you want to be in attendance, on top of the previously announced APC Series and Frostoberfest details.
The full schedule once released, along with any other information you may inquire about, can be found on the track’s website at http://www.flamborospeedway.ca.
