CHESLEY, ON- Second-generation star Josh Stade will enter July 30th’s ‘Dash for Cash’ invitational intent on earning his first victory of the 2014 season, in a Sauble Speedway field that promises to be laden with talent from top to bottom.
“Our car is as good as it’s been all season, I can’t wait to unload at Sauble on Wednesday night”, smiles Stade.
‘Prime Time’ will return to Sauble after a pair of head-turning performances at Sunset Speedway on July 26th and 27th.
“I feel as though we ran as well as we ever have at Sunset, last weekend”, explains Stade. “We won our qualifier on Saturday, and then had some bad luck with a bent spindle in the feature. Then, we were able to rebound on Sunday and take home a 7th place finish in the 75-lap invitational”.
“Right now, this team is getting better with every event”, continues Stade. “My guys are working their hearts out every night in the shop, and I can’t help but feel that it’s starting to show in our on-track product”.
The driver of the MEI Paving No. 17 Toyota will enter July 30th’s event in hopes of securing his first feature win since 2012, a streak Stade is more than ready to break.
“At this point, I think once we get a little bit of luck on our side we’re going to be pretty tough to beat”, says Stade.
“We’ve experimented with a tonne of different setup combinations this year, and we’ve really hit on a couple that have brought this car to life. I’ve been close to a couple wins this season, but just haven’t been able to seal the deal. It’s getting closer, though. We’re definitely ready for a win”.
Wednesday’s event marks the first in a string of 3 outings in 5 days for the Stade Motorsports team, and Josh is more than ready for his busiest time of the season.
“This is like Speedweeks for us”, exclaims the personable 22-year old, “it’s an exciting time of the year. It really tests who you are as a competitor, and it pushes how well you can work together as a team. We came home from Sunset with the car in one piece, which means we had two good nights in the shop that were spent trying to make us faster as opposed to repairing damage”
“This week’s goal is equipment preservation, if we can take care of our car, we’re confident our car will take care of us”
Josh Stade’s Howe chassis is sponsored by MEI Paving, APC Autoparts, Upper Canada Tile, Kunkel Bus Lines, Ken’s Truck Painting and WIX Filters.
