HGTV’s Bryan Beaumler to drive Mini Stock at Ohsweken this Friday‏

HGTV Host Bryan Beaumler will be behind the wheel of an Ohsweken Mini Stock in the Burger Barn Night Before The Nationals

@OhswekenSpdway • @Bryan_Baeumler • #HGTV • HGTV host Bryan Baeumler is set to try his hand at dirt track racing during the Burger Barn Night Before the Nationals on Friday, September 12 at Ohsweken Speedway, near Brantford, Ontario.

A host of several popular shows on HGTV, including Disaster DIY, Leave It To Bryan, and House Of Bryan, Baeumler will compete for the Insta-Insulation team in the HRW Automotive Mini Stock division on Friday. Visit the Gemini Award winner’s official website at www.Baeumler.ca.

The Night Before the Nationals on Friday, September 12 will include the Kevin Ward, Jr. Young Stars Challenge, Dave McLeod Memorial Shootout, and Twin 15 lap features for 360 Sprint Cars, and a 20 lap A-Feature for the Strickland’s GMC Crate Sprint Cars, plus a full program of heat races, B-Feature, and 20 lap A-Feature for the HRW Automotive Mini Stocks.

The winners of Friday’s Twin 15 lap 360 Sprint features will be guaranteed starting spots in the $12,000-to-win feature race in the 10th annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals event scheduled for Saturday, September 13, along with the Affordable Towing & Recovery Thunder Stocks.

SEPTEMBER 5 TICKET STUBS/WRISTBANDS: The September 5 Season Championship event is considered official according to the Ohsweken Speedway rain out policy, as at least 7 races were completed. September 5 Pit pass wristband holders can redeem those passes for a $10 discount on Test & Tune night coming up on Thursday, September 11, or a $5 discount on the Night Before the Nationals on Friday, September 12. Grandstand ticket stub holders can redeem their stubs for a $5 discount on the Night Before the Nationals. Those who pre-purchased Night Before the Nationals tickets also in attendance last Friday will receive a complimentary beverage by presenting their September 5 stubs and September 12 tickets to Vera Styres at the front gate.

CANADIAN SPRINT CAR NATIONALS PRE-ENTRIES: The deadline for competitors to register and pay the discounted ($50) entry fee for the 10th annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals was August 31, 2014. CSCN HISTORY: The Canadian Sprint Car Nationals has been the annual season-closing event at Ohsweken Speedway since 2005, and brings together drivers and teams from several affiliated sanctioning organizations in the area, plus teams and drivers from all over North America. The event has drawn an average of 70 entries for the 9 previous editions, with a total of 208 different drivers from 15 American states, 5 Canadian provinces, Australia, and New Zealand taking part.

Kenny Jacobs of Holmesville, Ohio won the first Canadian Sprint Car Nationals feature in 2005, followed by Steve Poirier from Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil, Quebec in 2006 and 2007, Mustang, Oklahoma’s Wayne Johnson in 2008, Shane Stewart of Bixby, Oklahoma in 2009 and 2010, and Sam Hafertepe, Jr. from Sunnyvale, Texas in 2011, while Poirier became the first 3-time winner in 2012, and Stewart also became a 3-time winner in 2013.
