Sunset Speedway Super Stock pilot Paul Geniole Jr. (above, by Debbie-Jo Zardo) will have one last chance at earning his first win of 2014 this Saturday, September 13th at Sunset’s 50-lap ‘Championship Night’ event. The Keswick, ON driver is riding momentum after a head-turning performance in his last outing on August 30th that saw him lead a bevy of laps before settling for a 4th place finish. We took the change to ask Geniole’s thoughts on his team’s recent hot streak, his mid-season turnaround and his chances at reaching victory lane in the back end of the season. Mini Stock veteran Danny Benedict (above, by Dan Little) has enjoyed a banner year in 2014. The Orono, ON hot-shoe debuted a brand new car at the beginning of the season, and has since racked up victories at speedways across Ontario. We recently stumbled upon a previously unreleased interview with ‘The Big Ticket’, recorded weeks prior to the beginning of the 2014 campaign. OSCAAR Modified Tour rookie Terry Baker (above, by Dan Little) recently confirmed he will be returning to competition after a month-long hiatus. The Hamilton, ON-based driver will be back in the field for the final two events of the 2014 season, at Sunset Speedway on September 27th and 28th and Peterborough Speedway on October 10th, 11th and 12th. The Baker Performance-entry will be hunting for its second feature victory with Baker behind the wheel, after he triumphed on Night 1 of the Don Biederman Memorial back in June.
