MILLGROVE, Ontario (June 15, 2020)— Just as quickly as the first event came together, Flamboro Speedway is getting ready for another.
The 1/3-mile oval will be hosting their second race of the 2020 campaign on July 4, with three divisions in attendance – the Super Stocks, the Mini Stocks, and the Pure Stocks.
With the current government restrictions, no spectators or children are allowed to be in attendance for the event. However, Flamboro Speedway has partnered with GForceTV to broadcast the event. Fans are encouraged to log on for the service free on their website at http://www.GForce.net to take in the action, as well as other racing. The races will take place at 4:05 pm ET, streamed live on the service, with the broadcast beginning at 4pm ET.
The Super Stocks will be running a 50-lap feature, with the Mini Stocks and Pure Stocks running 40 laps in length. Each division will time trial to set the field, with an invert in play.
Mini Stock teams will be allowed to enter the pits from 9am to 10am, with Pure Stocks from 10:15am to 11:15am. Super Stocks will then followed from 11:30am to 12:30pm. All team members must show up together at the gate together, entering as a group, with no one allowed in-and-out privileges through the event. Please note that if you show-up outside of your arrival time, you will not be allowed to enter and forfeit your money.
There will be a pre-race mandatory technical inspection for all classes, with Mini Stocks (9:30am-10:30am), Pure Stocks (10:30am-11:30am), and Super Stocks (11:45am-12:30pm). The Mini Stocks and Super Stocks will be following the 2020 Rules Package as developed by all the tracks, while Pure Stocks will follow the guidelines as released by Glen Hils prior to the event.
There will be a driver’s meeting for each class, taking place at the pit tower balcony. The Mini Stocks will go first at 12:35pm, followed by the Pure Stocks (12:45pm), and Super Stocks (12:55pm).
Each division will be given a half-hour practice prior to the event, with the Mini Stocks on-track first at 1:15pm, followed by the Pure Stocks (1:45pm), and Super Stocks (2:15pm). Your practice speeds will determine your time trial groups.
Time trials will be done in the group format that is utilized for Frostoberfest, with the field split into groups, with four laps a piece. The Mini Stocks will go first at 2:45pm, followed by the Pure Stocks and Super Stocks. It is mandatory that you cross the scales following your qualifying run.
Social distancing rules will be in effect as they have been through the practice sessions to date, with masks mandatory as they must be worn when you are not in a racecar. You must have hand sanitizer in your pits, with gloves strongly encouraged. You must always remain in your pit stall, and if going to the stands, remain six feet apart from your neighbor. There will be no standing at the fence to observe the races, with the concession stand closed, but bathrooms open for usage.
Additionally, 1 Way Radios are MANDATORY, and must be utilized by either the driver or spotter, and be present for technical inspection.
Please also note that there will be absolutely no alcohol consumption allowed before, during, or after the event. If you are caught with alcohol, you will be penalized with a fine/suspension.
Each team competing will be allowed to have a driver and four crew members enter together. Those interested in competing are encouraged to get a hold of either Nicole Stewart (via the Ontario Bone Stocks or Ontario Mini Stocks Facebook Page), or Cory McAllister (Ontario Super Stocks Facebook page) as they have guidelines for registration, as well as accepting crew information and details on where to send entry fee money.
