MILLGROVE, ON (January 31, 2019)- While it may be freezing outside, the snow is eventually going to melt and when it does, Flamboro Speedway is prepared to bring the heat with an action-packed summer of racing.

The Hamilton, Ontario based oval recently released their schedule for the fans, featuring weekly racing beginning on Saturday, May 5, all the way until Saturday, October 19. Those who have been attending the speedway for years will be happy to hear that fan favourites remain on the schedule, like Meet the Drivers Night, and the Flamboro Memorial & Fan Appreciation Corn Roast Night.

The track’s core divisions are back on the calendar for 2019 – Late Models, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Pro 4 Modifieds, each ready to offer their own dish of entertainment. With over 120 different competitors across the five divisions last year, fans were thrilled by door-to-door side-by-side racing on a weekly basis, producing over 35 different individual race winners.

One of the unique adjustments to this schedule surrounds the Grisdale Triple Crown. Rather than triple 50-features ran at the end of the feature on one night, the champion will have to earn the title throughout the summer. Each of the three rounds – May 25, August 10, and October 6 – will consist of a 100-lap feature, with points given out by finishing position. The driver who has the most at the end of the final event will be crowned the 2019 Grisdale Triple Crown Champion.

Flamboro Speedway is also proud to be become the home track for the Canadian Vintage Modifieds. After touring across the province over the past couple seasons, they have chosen to get back to their roots, while putting a focus on growing the car count over the course of the year. Look for them to put on a show across their 12 dates.

Although the core divisions put on a show, the track is also proud to host several different touring divisions throughout 2019. The APC Auto Parts United Late Models of Ontario Tour will make a pair of stops, with the London Recreational Racing 100 scheduled for July 13. Another highlight is the Don Biederman Memorial for the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model Series, taking place on July 27.

Other touring classes that will make an appearance in 2019 include Ontario Pro Challenge Series, Lucas Oil Can-Am Midgets, Ontario Modified Racing Series, Lucas Oil Sportsman Series, OSCAAR Modifieds, OSCAAR Pro Sprints, OSCAAR Hot Rod Series, and the Outlaw Midgets.

As has become tradition, Flamboro Speedway will once again have a primary event during the year-end short track play-offs with Frostoberfest, which is scheduled for October 5 and 6. The year-end event will have 13 features across nine different classes, so it is bound to packed with action from the drop of the initial green flag.

The 2019 schedule will then close out with the Halloween Enduro “250,” which offers up $5,000 to the winner.

The full schedule is available for viewing at https://www.flamborospeedway.ca/schedule.

Just a reminder – the driver’s meeting and registration for the Late Models, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Pure Stock and the Pro 4 Modifieds takes place on Sunday, February 3rd, beginning at 1pm at the Milgrove Community Center. The address and directions can be found on the track website. If drivers have any additional questions, they can get a hold of John Casale at 905-689-6052.

There’s also special pricing available right now for the yearly pit pass and season’s pass, which will both be available at the meeting above. Those details can be viewed on the Flamboro Speedway, as well.
