July 28, 2014- The Evoy Racing team with driver Dylan Evoy concluded a very successful month of July this past weekend with a win, and a second place finish.

He ended the month with three wins, three second nd place results and a fifth in seven events.  He also took over the points lead at Brockville Speedway in a very close battle for the coveted championship.  He leads by just two points with one month remaining in the 2014 regular season.

Mohawk International Raceway was the first stop on the weekend schedule with a Frenchie’s “Go Further” Sportsman Series/Seaway Sportsman Series event.  After starting seventh in the qualifier, Evoy charged forward to finish third, making the important redraw for a top 12 starting spot in the 40 lap main event. By luck of the draw, Dylan selected the 2nd position and rolled off the starting grid from the outside of the front row.  Dylan got the early lead, but a quick caution regrouped the field.  For the next several laps over the first half of the race, Evoy swapped the lead several times in a very entertaining race, but would settle for second place at the end.

Brockville Speedway was up next for the Evoy Racing team.  Dylan started from seventh in his qualifying heat race, but struggled to a fifth place finish.

The team made some changes to the car before the 25 lap main event, and Dylan returned to the track starting from the 12th position.  At the drop of the green flag, Evoy charged through the field, and within just a few laps he was up to third place.  For the next few circuits, Evoy patiently waited to make his move as the first two cars raced side by side for the lead.  Dylan waited until they made a mistake, and then pounced on the opportunity.  By lap 10 he was in the lead and never looked back, picking up his sixth BOS win of the season and eighth overall.

“I really have to thank my family, the guys on the crew, and our sponsors and fans for their support”, says Evoy.  “We are having a good season and I look forward to battling for the championship here at Brockville over the last few weeks of the season”.
