August 13, 2014- With Mohawk International Raceway closed for the weekend, Dylan Evoy and the Evoy Racing team focused on Saturday night’s events at Brockville Speedway as they hosted the final round of the Ogilvie’s Triple Crown Series for the Sportsman division. Dylan entered the night with just a two point advantage in the series point lead and a six point advantage in the overall title.

The night began with time trials for the Sportsman division and Evoy was fastest in his group, earning a front row starting spot for his qualifier.  He backed that up with a convincing win in the heat race, and started the 40 lap main event from the front row as well.  In the opening laps Evoy battled back and forth for the lead before taking command of the race. A lap 17 caution regrouped the field and Dylan dropped to second.  Evoy maintained a second place position throughout the event.

“After contact with a couple lap cars we had rear end damage that affected the handling of the car. We were lucky to finish says Evoy.  “We are disappointed that we lost the Ogilvie’s title by just two points, but we are more determined than ever to finish out the year strong and get the overall Brockville championship”.

This coming week, Evoy will return to Mohawk Raceway on Friday night after a rare week off last weekend.  They will be at Brockville Speedway on Saturday night as they look to get back to victory lane and add some points between him and second place.  He is currently just two points up going into this weekend at the BOS.

The Evoy Racing team would not be possible without assistance from great companies such as Ogilvie’s Auto & Fleet Service, Plooy’s Plumbing and Heating, 1000 Islands RV Centre, Napa Auto Parts Universal Supply Group, Genesis Racing Shocks, Upper Canada Electrical, RVB Machine Products, Fireball Performance Automatics, True Speed Canada, MIE Autobody and Collision, Thousand Islands Concrete, Linde, Canadian Tire, Wurth, KnowBrockville.com  and NGK Spark Plugs. A special thanks also goes out to ‘Stick’ and ‘Big Block’ for their help and support.
