CARRYING PLACE, ON – JUNE 13, 2012 – Female race car driver Caley Weese is taking a stand against bullying with her team’s new “No Bull” Anti-Bullying Campaign.

Weese is known across the region for her racing skills at several dirt oval tracks in the Pro Late Model division, but she is now being recognized for her newest community initiative, launching her very own awareness campaign. The campaign was launched just 3 weeks ago at Brighton Speedway with the help of her marketing partners and team.

“This campaign is something that means a lot to me,” said Weese. “I was bullied, and now I have a bigger voice with the race team to raise awareness. There is a huge number of worthwhile charities, but bullying is a growing epidemic. We can make a difference.”

Caley and her team are selling bright pink t-shirts for $10 each to raise awareness for the campaign. As a bonus, the first 500 shirts sold include a free admission pass to the races at Brighton Speedway on September 2 which has been named the anti-bullying day at race track. The goal is to have the grandstands full of the team’s pink shirts and to take a crowd picture of the grandstands with the supporting drivers and their cars on the front stretch.

Weese has also been working with the Belleville Police Dept. and the HPEDSB in hopes of continuing this program into the school system in the fall.

“I am overwhelmed with the immediate support and the number of t-shirts we’ve sold,” Weese said. “I’m also amazed by the stories of kids and adults alike who have shared about their own bullying experiences. It breaks my heart to know this goes on every day.”
