BRIGHTON, ON (May 05, 2019)- Brighton Speedway lost out on the Loud and Dirty Brand Season Opener presented by Coca Cola as Mother Nature left the grounds to saturated to progress. With sunshine and wind picking up on Sunday and Monday, a Test and Tune on Monday night enabled drivers and their crews to put some time in the seat and warm up for the May 11th night at the races.
KIDS RACE for the Canadian National Autism Foundation presented by Archer’s Poultry Farm and Oldies 96.7 Peterborough will kick off the 52nd season at Brighton Speedway with a full race card. The Vanderlaan Building Products Late Models, OilGARD Anti Rust Canadian Modifieds, Brighton Automotive Thunder Stocks, Bill’s Johns Comp 4 & Mini Stocks and the Quinte Septic Junior and Senior Stingers will thrill the fans with the high-octane excitement and roar of the engines.
This action-packed night of excitement will feed the need for speed for all racers and fans alike. The Back Gates will open early at 1:00 PM for tech, the Front Gates will open at 5:00 PM and Green Flag racing will begin at 7:00 PM. Grandstand Admission will be to $12.00 for Adults, $10.00 for Youths & Seniors, $3.00 for Children 7 to 12, a Family Pass is $28.00 and Children 6 & Under are always Free. Bring a nonperishable food donation for the Brighton Fare Share Food Bank and receive $4 OFF your Front Gate admission.
The week delay has made the desire for dirt track racing even greater and we anticipate full fields in each division. Registration is already high in each class with a record of over 30 in the Brighton Automotive Thunderstock division. The Late Models are sitting at 18 with a new registration over the weekend. The Canadian Modified division sits at 16 with newcomer to dirt #99 Linc Brown and another convert expected as the season progresses. The Bill’s Johns Comp 4 and Mini Stock has 20 combined registered cars and Quinte Septic Stingers have 25 registered drivers between the Senior and Junior divisions. The total of 108 registered drivers before the season even kicks off is thrilling and adds to the excitement even more. Fans are in for an exhilarating five months of mud slinging fun at Brighton Speedway!
