WARREN, OH (June 3, 2014) – Racers and fans of the DSE Sportsman Racing Series will need to mark down Saturday August 30 on the calendar as a must see event when the Abruzzi Racing Transmissions DSE All-Stars take to the track to showcase their skills in a $1000 winner take all showdown at Toronto Motorsports Park during the 4th Annual DSE Labour Day Championships.
The field will be comprised of 16 cars featuring the Top 5 point’s racers from both Super Pro and Modified; Top 3 points racers from Quick 16, Top 2 point’s racers from Street Eliminator and the Points leader from Super Bike/Sled. The field will be laddered ahead of time with Box classes on one side, and No Box/Bike-Sled on the other, with the final being a Box versus No Box match-up for the All-Star Race Title.
Racers will begin accumulating points at the 3rd Annual Season Opener, and will have until Race number Eight at the Sportsman Nationals in St Thomas to solidify their spot for the event on Labour Day.
The All Star Race will also feature special All-Star Qualifier decals and a Special All-Star Championship Trophy to go along with the $1000 Cash prize, all of which is being sponsored/supplied by Marco Abruzzi and Abruzzi Racing Transmissions who are the innovators of the Mac Daddy Powerglide transmission and the “Money-Maker” Torque Converter line.

That’s what we want to do with Abruzzi Racing Transmissions All-Star Race for the racers in our region and series, we want to bring together the top 16 racers and see who emerges on Top of the Mountain!” stated Series Director Andrew Stirk
Additionally Abruzzi Racing Transmissions will be raffling off a Custom built Torque Converter that is tailored to a racers combination, which will be raffled off on Saturday September 13 during the 2nd Annual Championship Finals. Racers and fans can buy tickets to enter the Raffle at the DSE Registration Trailer, or from the DSE Racing Team at event they attend. Tickets are $10 for one or $25 for three.
The first event for competitors in the DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series to collect points for the Abruzzi Racing Transmissions All-Stars will be the 3rd Annual Season Opener, which takes place June 7-8 at Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park. The DSE Sportsman Racing Series boasts a Yearend fund in excess of $22,500, and features a point’s structure where racers claim their best eight out of 12 point’s races during the season.
