MILLGROVE, ON – Despite losing power steering around Lap 60, Treyten Lapcevich muscled his way through the second half of the Tuesday, June 30 JRS Auctions OSCAAR Super Late Models presented by Just Foam It Gold Rush 126 to pick up the checkered flag at Flamboro Speedway.
Lapcevich took the The Car Guy green flag from the second row, keeping himself in the battle at the front of the field all night long. He escaped an incident ahead of him on the Lap 58 restart following the fuel break and used the following restart to take the lead from Dustin Jackson. From there, the driver of the No. 16 dominated the remainder of the race en route to Hoosier Racing Tire / Bicknell Race Products Victory Lane.

Jake Sheridan was the Shepherd Media Fastest Qualifier Award winner for the event and looked to be in dominating form at the start of the race. However, contact with Glenn Styres on the previously mentioned restart sent him pit-side for the attention of his crew. The driver of the No. 52 wasted no time charging back to the front, taking over second on Lap 90, but was unable to mount a challenge to Lapcevich in the closing laps.
Andrew Gresel’s return to the driver’s seat saw him put together a smooth night en route to a third-place finish, completing the podium ahead of Dustin Jackson and Glenn Styres. Trevor Monaghan overcame a couple of incidents to finish sixth, while Blake Childers placed seventh after contact with the outside Turn 3 wall while battling for a podium position. John Owen was eighth, followed by Ryan Dick and TJ Edwards. Edwards’ night ended on Lap 58 after contact with Monaghan and the outside Turn 1 wall.
Brandon Passer finished 11th, followed by Jaden Cretacci, Scottie Lamp, Dwayne Baker, Dario Capirchio, John Baker Jr., Glenn Watson, Brad Pearsall, and Todd Campbell. Unfortunately, several drivers saw their races end early as a result of mechanical issues.
Adrian Foster was also in attendance but blew a motor during qualifying, while Mike Miller suffered a mechanical failure in practice.
Starting on the pole, Matt Young led all 30 laps and held off a late-race charge from the competition to score the victory in the Pure Stock Gold Rush 30 at Flamboro Speedway on Tuesday, June 30.
Young, who has been dominant in weekly competition, started out front and took advantage of the track position as he drove away from the field. James Houghton was able to close in during the final laps but was unable to find a way by en route to Young’s victory. Chase Mitchell worked his way forward late to finish third ahead of Brandyn Milligan and Gary Slama. Bobby Tolton made the trip from Full Throttle Motor Speedway and finished sixth ahead of Phil Givens, Spencer Riddell, John Cote, and Chance Rogers.
Gary Triska battled his way to an 11th-place finish, followed by Rick Mitchell, Cam Thomson, Leo Labarbera, Rogan Monaghan, Jo Lawrence, Rodney Rutherford, Mark Allan, and Tyler Mayhew. Lawrence ran inside the top five until mechanical issues struck with seven laps remaining. Rachel Mitchell finished 21st ahead of Hailey Hill, Brady Cox, Megan Mitchell, Dan Storey, and William Young.
The next event at Flamboro Speedway is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, featuring the APC Auto Parts United Racing Series alongside the Dayco Steel City Super Stocks.
