@TMPracing • #DragRacing • #ProMods • #Haldimand – CAYUGA, ON – Toronto Motorsport Park’s annual Haldimand County Community Weekend starts this Friday, with great deals for residents of Haldimand County, including free entry on Saturday. On tap for this weekend: a rematch between the Northern Warrior and Terminator Jet Dragster’s and 240 mile per hour Pro Modified Car action.
Coming off the highly-successful Canadian Nitro Nationals show held recently, the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park will be presenting another popular annual event this coming weekend, the Haldimand County Community Weekend.
This event is the facility’s way of thanking the neighboring community, offering residents in the area free admission to a three-day show packed with drag racing action. It will take place July 22-24.
Returning to Cayuga with its high-horsepower classes are Pro Modified, Top Sportsman and Top Dragster, and Outlaw 10.5. It will be the second visit in a month for these fast and popular cars. Also competing will be the colorful and exciting jet dragsters of Neale Armstrong with his Northern Warrior and Lou Pereira’s Terminator, ready to do battle with a flourish of noise and flame down the Cayuga strip.
Now in its 11th season, the Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series, one of the region’s top Sportsman Series featuring NHRA’s Super Street and IHRA’s Hot Rod classes will hold rounds six and seven of its 10-race annual program.
Also competing on the oldest-operating quarter-mile track in Canada will be the five classes in the Race Cayuga Sportsman Series with race five and race six in two separate events over the weekend as part of its 10-race series.
As a way of giving back to the community that has supported TMP over the years, Haldimand residents, with proof of identity, will receive free admission for Saturday’s show while a weekend pass for residents will be only $40. For all others, admission prices will be $15 Friday, $30 for Saturday or Sunday, and $70 for the weekend. Children 12 and under are admitted free. All weekend passes include camping.
TMP is located at 1040 Kohler Rd. in Cayuga, Ontario. Visit www.torontomotorsportspark.com for details.
