August 22, 2013.  NASCAR Canadian Tire Series racer David Thorndyke of Oshawa, ON is anxious to get back into action as the series returns to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on the Labour Day weekend.  Thorndyke is also pleased to welcome new associate sponsor ThreeWorks Snacks to their #67 Lubesource Chevrolet program.

“This is going to be a fun partnership for us to be involved with ThreeWorks Snacks” said Thorndyke.  “They distribute all kinds of great healthy snacks including Sugarpova by Maria Sharapova the tennis star and we’ll be offering samples for the race fans during the weekend” he added.

The entire team is excited to be back in action at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for several reasons.  The biggest of which was Thorndyke’s marvelous performance in the opening round of the season on the same track where he gained 14 positions during the race.

“We used a little strategy and I just tried to be really consistent and it worked out really well for us” explained the driver.  “We’re expecting to be even more competitive at this event”.

The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series shares the racing spotlight with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on the weekend as the trucks compete on the road course for the first time.  “It’s exciting to be part of that event and a number of the truck guys are running the NCATS race as well so it will be a good challenge for everyone.  This will be a great event for the area” stated Thorndyke.

David Thorndyke and the #67 LubeSource Chevrolet team will hit the track at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park near Bowmanville, ON for practice and qualifying on Saturday August 31st and race Sunday September 1st.  The race can also be seen live on TSN at 11AM Eastern.  For more NASCAR Canadian Tire Series information log onto www.nascar.ca and to learn more about the #67 LubeSource Chevy team go to www.promotiveracing.com
