MONTREAL, QC – Alex Guénette and Xemis Powersports Marketing Corp. are happy to share an image of the NASCAR Camping World Series Truck which Alex will be driving in the upcoming Silverado 250 at CTMP on the Labour Day weekend. SportChek will join DLGL and Motos Illimitées to complete the livery of the truck. It will also carry the colours of Jumpstart.
Alex will have a busy week-end since he will also be driving his usual Motos Illimitées/DLGL No 39 car in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series’ 9th race of the 2013 season, where he now leads the points for the Rookie of The Year Award, after a brilliant 2nd place in St Eustache and a fighting 6th place at Antigonish.
Thankfully for the tens of thousands of spectators expected at Mosport for the week-end, which marks the return of the Camping World Trucks Series to a road course after 9 years of absence, both the Truck and the Car will bear the No 39 familiar for both Alex and his Dad Jacques Jr.
“I’ll have just enough time for a good shower and a change of working clothes between the two events” said Alex, “and I am confident that my training and good nutrition will pay off in good performances. I will have a nutritionist specialized in these kinds of marathon-like events with me since I don’t listen to my Mom… Top speeds are in excess of 290kmh on this track, not a place where you can run out of concentration… The extra 200hp in the truck should help produce plenty of adrenalin. I think I’ll sleep in on Monday…”
