(August 5, 2014) GRAND PRAIRIE, ALBERTA – The 2014 racing season has been very successful for Team Silco Racing and drivers Ben and Alex Silliker. Ben has competed in 60 events so far in 2014, posting 11 wins, 49 top five finishes, and 55 top ten results over the course of the season. Alex Silliker has also been successful, posting his first ever A-main win in his Jr. Novice quarter midget this past weekend.
The season has been a more challenging one compared to past years. Ben has focused more on racing in the senior divisions and is by far the youngest competitive driver in his class at each event. The team has also focused on some of the larger events with the feeling that Ben would gain more experience then he would at some of the smaller venues that he has in past seasons.
“We are having a good season so far”, says team owner Jason Silliker. “Ben has been very competitive despite racing against much older drivers, and Alex has had some success as well in the Jr. Divisions. We have really focused more on some of the larger events, and have raced a lot in Washington, Oregon and California”.
Team Silco will be back in action this weekend with a WQMA (Washington Quarter Midget Association) Regional event.
