(September 21, 2014) GRAND PRAIRIE, ALBERTA – The 2014 racing season has been a busy one for Team Silco Racing. Despite being the youngest of his peers at virtually every track he attends, Ben Silliker has been up to the challenge along each step of a path that has taken him throughout the Western part of the United States throughout the year.
The 2014 campaign has been highlighted so far by winning the Region 9 Quarter Midget Sr. Honda Championship. Silliker also finished the Region 9 season second in the Mod division, 4th in the Lt 160 class and 5th in the Lt World Formula division. He has competed in 73 A-Main events this season, and with all the heat races in multiple divisions he is well over 250 events. By the end of the season, the team expects to have well over 80 A-mains.
Most recently, Silliker competed in the North Carolina Race Week at Millbridge Speedway just a couple weeks ago. Although he didn’t have the overall results that they wanted, the exposure and experience gained was well worth the trip.
This coming weekend, Team Silco Racing will be back on the road for a trip to Fresno, California as they compete in the Super 600 at Plaza Park Raceway. The team also plans to race the Cage Kart on October 3-4 in Boise, Idaho. In December they wrap up the 2014 season as they return to Las Vegas for the Quarter Midget Winter Nationals
