@SOSsprints• @BrightonSpdwy • (Saturday, June 20, 2015) – Brighton, Ontario – The Southern Ontario Sprints tour headed to Brighton Speedway for the fourth round of the 2015 season, on a night that also featured the return of the World of Outlaw Late Model Series. For Glenn Styres the night would produce his first win since capturing the 2014 SOS Championship.

A total of 21 cars made the trek to the 1/3 mile clay oval in Brighton, Ontario. Dain Naida and Glenn Styres started on the front row of the 25 lap feature on what was a dry slick track following the Late Model main event.

Naida took the early lead and maintained the top spot through a caution for a spin by Shawn Sliter in the opening laps. On the restart Styres utilized the outside line around the track to reel the leader in, and on lap 6 powered by Naida in corner four to take the lead. The pass would hold up to be the winning move of the race and propelled Styres to victory.

The battle of the race was for the third through sixth positions, as Keith Dempster, Mitch Brown, Cory Turner and Chris Jones all swapped positions multiple times. In the closing laps point leader Brown broke free of the pack and took the third position behind Styres and Naida. Dempster and Turner completed the top five.

The win was Styres’ 43rd career sprint car win, and first of the 2015 season. The podium finish for Brown helped him maintain the unofficial point lead after the fourth round of the twelve race tour.

The Southern Ontario Sprints next return to action for two nights of racing on Friday, July 3rd at Ohsweken Speedway in Ohsweken, Ontario, and Saturday, July 4th at South Buxton Raceway near Chatham, Ontario.
