BROCKVILLE, ON (March 8, 2018)- Fans have come to count on Brockville Ontario Speedway for some of the best action on the DIRTcar Northeast circuit and the 2018 season – getting underway Saturday, May 12th – promises to be no exception. The track’s five regular divisions – 358 Modifieds, Sportsman Mods, Rookie Sportsman, Street Stocks and Mini Stocks – highlight weekly action at the popular 3/8th’s mile clay oval on Temperance Lake Road, north of the city.

2017 track champions Luke Whitteker, Dylan Evoy, Alex Gagnon, Tyler Bushey and Dylan Kirkland are expected to return, looking to defend their titles from last year; but earning back-to-back crowns could be a difficult feat, as a very competitive field in each division aims to take the top spot in the final standings. Track owner and promoter Paul Kirkland says it looks to be another exciting season at The Bullring.

“We work as hard putting together a winning schedule as our teams do when it comes to preparing a winning race car,” Paul Kirkland said. “Our fans deserve the best and we’ll always do whatever we can to please the people who come through the gates. For the upcoming season, we’ve added some exciting special events to our schedule.”

Perhaps the biggest news to come out the winter months at The BOS is The Bullringer – presented by RTD Trailers – Wednesday, August 8th. A 110 lap DIRTcar 358 Modified Series event, paying $10,000 to win and a 110 lap Sportsman-Modified tour stop, with a winner’s purse of $2,000. Fans are also looking forward to the 1000 Islands RV Border Battle Series with Can Am Speedway. Brockville’s dates are Saturday, June 9th and Saturday, July 14th. 358 Mods run a 35 lap ‘A’ main for $2,000 with the Sportsman teams fighting it out for 30 laps and an $800 payday.

The 2018 calendar wraps-up with the Loud & Dirty Brand Northeast Fall Nationals. Friday, October 12th features the DIRTcar Big Block and Sportsman-Modified Series events, plus the DIRT Pro Stocks and Outlaw Vintage Mods. Saturday, October 13th has the 358 Modified Series, with open 360 Sprints, along with invitational Street Stock and Mini Stock events. See the track web-site and Facebook page for all the details.

Short Track Saturday Night Notes: Brockville Ontario Speedway will be part of the racing preview show – Friday and Saturday, March 23rd and 24th – at the Frontenac Mall in Kingston, Ontario…The annual Night of Champions will be held Saturday, March 31st at the Brockville Memorial Hall…Fans are also reminded of the annual Fan Fest and Fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario – Saturday, April 21st – at Walmart on Parkdale Avenue in Brockville. The admission free event will include a race car display and a live band.
