The schedule for the seventeenth season of competition is now set for the Southern Ontario Sprints (SOS). The tour will take the SOS across Ontario and into Quebec this summer with stops at Autodrome Granby, Brighton Speedway, Ohsweken Speedway and South Buxton Raceway. As well, the SOS continues the tradition as an affiliate sanctioning body for the 8th annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals.

The season will open for the first time at Autodrome Granby in Granby, Quebec. The Can-am Sprint Car Challenge will be a big two day event, Friday May 11th and 12th, with $5,000 on the line for the Saturday night feature. This will be a co-sanctioned event with ESS and PST and the SOS will be there to help fend off the American invaders.

With the teams tuned up after the off season, Round 2 will lock it into gear at Brighton Speedway Saturday, May 19th on the May holiday long weekend with a rain date of Sunday the 20th available if required.

Summertime action will start to heat up on Saturday June 16th at Brighton Speedway when the SOS will return to the speedway by the lake.

The next events on the 2012 SOS schedule will be special back to back nights of action. Working with Ohsweken Speedway and South Buxton Raceway, the SOS will once again co-sanction two double header race weekends in 2012. Friday, June 22nd will see the SOS at Ohsweken Speedway and Saturday, June 23rd will see the tour head west down the

401 to South Buxton Raceway. Both nights of racing will see the SOS teams competing against teams from PST and teams that race weekly at Ohsweken.
