HAGERSVILLE, ON (October 2, 2019)- Canada’s Best Racing Team (CBRT) with driver Anthony Simone showed moments of excitement along with plenty of speed in the #1 Silverline Tools Dodge during the 2019 NASCAR Pinty’s Series season. For the final race of the season this past weekend at Jukasa Motor Speedway near Hamilton, Ontario the team looked for another solid result to carry that momentum into the off season.

In the Saturday afternoon practice session Simone would post the ninth quickest time in the#1 Silverline Tools Dodge. CBRT General Manager Joey McColm was pleased with the initial showing.

“The day got off to a good start” said McColm. “Anthony put in some solid laps and we were looking forward to more gains through the day” he added.

Afternoon rain showers washed out the qualifying session which meant the starting grid would be set by practice times and the #1 Silverline Tools Dodge would line up ninth for the 200-lap feature event to close the season.

Simone flirted with the top-ten during the first half of the race. At the scheduled midway break for service the #1 Silverline Tools Dodge team looked to improve the handling of the car for the second half of the event. While the car was better, it took a long run of green flag laps for the car to be at its best.

“I managed to pick up a few positions but then we’d get a caution and the #1 Silverline Tools Dodge wasn’t as quick right away. So, I would end up having to pass the same cars again and again” explained Simone.

When the checkered flag waved on the race and the 2019 season Simone brought the #1 Silverline Tools Dodge across the line in 12th spot.

“We needed a little bit longer run at the end and it would have helped us” said Simone. “But the car is in good shape and we’ll be better moving forward he added.

While there were some very positive signs this season McColm is certain even better results are ahead.

“Anthony did a great job all year” said McColm. “And we had some other drivers have some good runs for us as well. You take what you learn every year and get busy during the winter to be better next season. That’s what we’ll be doing” he added.

The entire group at Canada’s Best Racing Team wish to thank all the fans that supported the team all season long.
