NORTH MIAMI, FL- After almost 10 months away from active competition, multi-time Sunset Speedway feature winner Sean Grosman is ready to return to the Ltd. Late Model division with a new team and a renewed focus.
“It has absolutely killed me being away this long”, stressed Grosman with a grin, “from the moment I first walked into these pits with nothing more than my road course experience, I feel as though I was able to make some huge gains on the rest of this division”
“However, the time it took to dedicate myself to the sport, often took me away from my wife and kids”, continued Grosman. “It just wouldn’t have been fair to them to put together another full season of competition in a row. Racing here is some of the most fun I’ve ever had, but family will always come first”
The Florida-based driver made his Ltd. Late Model debut in 2010, and worked quickly to become one of the division’s rising stars, earning 3 feature wins in his first 4 seasons of competition.
‘The Frequent Flyer’ will make his first start of the 2014 with the aide of longtime Late Model standout Ryan Kimball, who will serve as Grosman’s Car Chief.
“I’m not sure if any of this would be possible without Ryan and all of his efforts”, explained Grosman.
“When I decided to step back after the 2013 season, I was left without a Crew Chief or any form of team. I had my car, and that’s all. Ryan has stepped up and put together a program for us to make sure we could come back and be competitive. I can’t wait to work with Ryan, [Crew Chief] Jamie Sutton and Bill Craig. We’ve managed to assemble a fantastic team, and I’m confident it will show in our on-track results”
Despite spending the bulk of the 2014 campaign on the sidelines, Grosman maintains he’s kept close tabs on the rapidly intensifying Sunset Ltd. Late Model division.
“I try to keep up as best I can with everything going on at Sunset”, said Grosman, “it definitely feels as though this is as good as the division has ever been. I can’t wait to get back on track and see where our team stacks up against guys like Jason Witty and Chris Morrow”
Sean Grosman’s Ryan Kimball Motorsports prepared McColl Racing Enterprises chassis will carry marketing support from The Landing Strip Gentleman’s Club of Toronto, Flagship Properties, For Your Eyes Only, Rylex Glass & Mirror, SMG Motorsports.
