FENELON FALLS, ON – The Rotary Club of Fenelon Falls is thrilled to announce the conclusion of its Classic Car Draw for 2023-24, with Rick Aube (below) of Peterborough, Ontario, emerging as the lucky winner with ticket #28939. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who participated, making this event a remarkable success; it marks the second consecutive year that we sold out all tickets.
Looking ahead to our 2024-25 draw, we are excited to feature a stunning 1971 Dodge Charger 440 Automatic – complete with matching numbers! If this car feels familiar, that’s because it was the grand prize in our Classic Car Draw of 2015-16. The previous winner lovingly maintained the Charger in a climate-controlled garage, ensuring it remained pristine under washed bed sheets until May 2024. At that time, the winner approached us about potentially reacquiring the vehicle.
Originally purchased in Quebec, the Charger made its way to the Elmvale area in 1997, where it was expertly refinished—documentation of this process will accompany the car. In 2008, it changed hands and was taken to Whitby, with the new owner storing it in Fenelon Falls during winter months. In 2014, our Rotary Club spotted the Charger during a visit to the storage facility. By 2015, we had acquired it for our Classic Car Draw, and now it returns to Fenelon Falls once more to support our charitable initiatives.
Our Classic Car Draw for 2024-25 will be held under license RAF1413059, and we’re offering tickets for the 1971 Dodge Charger, valued at $61,020. The first early draw is set for November 21, 2024, with subsequent draws on January 23, 2025; April 3, 2025; and May 22, 2025. The grand finale will take place on July 1, 2025, at 6:00 PM in front of The Wee Quilt Shoppe on the main street of Fenelon Falls. (Remember, you do not need to be present to win!)
