INNISFIL, Ontario (May 3, 2017)— Making his return full-time this season, Hillbilly Deluxe Racing’s Robbie Sikes put together a solid, clean feature on opening night at Sunset Speedway.
The evening didn’t start out so cleanly for Sikes, though, who caught the attentions of spectators with a save during the first heat of the year for the Super Stocks. He’d finish ninth, followed by a fifth in his second heat.
Starting mid-pack for the feature, Sikes was able to make up a little bit of ground early to be running just outside of the top-10, running 15th as of the halfway mark. He continued to run in the position, making a pass in the late stages of the feature to post a 14th-place finish.
Sikes will be back at Sunset Speedway on May 6 in hopes of his first top-10 of 2017.
The Hillbilly Deluxe Racing team is proud to be supported by Lloyds Haulage, Duivenvoorden Haulage, Nitro Industrial, Polished Automotive, ORV Auto, Southview Too, Kings Marine, Bromley Automotive, Jaded Motorsports, Ernie’s Performance, Walt Fab, and Serem Renovations this season.
