ANTIGONISH, NS (January 23, 2018)- With yesterday’s announcement of the 2018 Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour (PST) schedule, this year’s calendar of race events for Riverside International Speedway (RIS) is complete.

In December RIS management released dates for its two most anticipated events, July 12-14 for the IWK 250 presented by Steve Lewis, and August 17-18 for the NASCAR Pinty’s Series weekend featuring the Bumper to Bumper 300.

Besides the IWK 250, which is sanctioned by the PST as a championship points event, the series will make two other stops at the high-banked 1/3-mile asphalt oval to open the RIS season on June 16 and then to close the RIS season on September 8. Both the June and September dates will see 150-lap features and be one-day shows.

2018 Schedule* – Riverside International Speedway

June 16 – Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour (150 laps)
July 12 – IWK 250 Super Weekend, Day 1 – Tailgate Party
July 13 – IWK 250 Super Weekend, Day 2 – Napa Sportsman Series
July 14 – IWK 250 presented by Steve Lewis
August 17 – NASCAR Weekend, Day 1 – Napa Sportsman Series
August 18 – Bumper to Bumper 300, NASCAR Pinty’s Series
September 8 – Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour (150 laps)
While support classes for the entire season at Riverside are yet to be finalized, the Napa Sportsman Series will be on hand June 16, July 13, August 17, and September 8. Other divisions will be announced for events as dates are finalized.

“We’re happy to have the schedule finalized and look forward to a great 2018,” said Paul McLean, general manager of Riverside International Speedway. “It’s important to our fans to know the dates for planning purposes but it also allows us to start all those behind the scenes things that need to happen in order to put the upcoming season together.”
