Ratchet Racing fields #78 Arctic Snowplow Stayner Travel Trailer Chevy Silverado race truck in CASC-OR competition. In 2012 the team finished runner up in the Paragon GT Challenge GT3 Class, winning 5 consecutive races, including 2nd overall and first in class in the Indian Summer 3 hour Endurance Race. In 2011 the team finished 1st overall in Paragon GT Challenge GT3 Class.
Motorsport Marshalling Services (MMS), a member club of Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs – Ontario Region (CASC), has been training and organizing marshalling services for amateur and professional motorsport events since 1978. Most contracted events take place on the main road course at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, a 4 kilometer road-racing course located about one hour’s drive north-east of Toronto Ontario. We also organize marshals for each summer’s IndyCar street race in Toronto.
“Volunteers are the backbone of motorsports not only in Canada, but also throughout the world” says Scott Tapley, driver of the #78 Arctic Snowplows Chevy Silverado. “When I heard that MMS was looking for a vehicle for their recruitment booth at the Expo I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to partner with them. Marshals are trained volunteers who give up their weekends for the love of motorsports, they spend many long hours in all kinds of weather so we can race. I am a sure glad to know that we have such a professional group watching our backs when we are racing at Canadian Tire Motorports Park.”
“We also felt that bringing a race truck to the Expo was fitting given Canadian Tire Motorsports Park with be hosting a NASCAR Camping World Truck Race on the road course labour day weekend” continued Tapley “I think that Race Fans will be able to identify with the truck. It is a proven winner at CTMP”.
The #78 Arctic Snowplows Stayner Travel Trailer Ratchet Racing Team are preparing for another successful season with CASC-OR Regional Racing.
