@calabogiemotors • @cdnsuperbike • @VARACBoD • @MVAgustaCanada • CALABOGIE, ON – Two of the biggest events on the 2015 Calabogie Motorsports Park calendar are quickly approaching, with Round Two on the Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs-Ontario Region schedule and the opening race on the Mopar Canadian Superbike schedule on the spring docket.
The inaugural CASC-OR / MCO May Madness Race Weekend kicks of the May 30/31 weekend with a Friday test day, followed by two full days of regional road racing.
Filling the weekend schedule are twin 60 minute enduros for the RaceOntario GT Challenge Series, with their GT Sprints presented by CSC Racing Products cousins on track for three 20 minute contests. The CASC-OR Formula Libre division will also enjoy a trio of races, and adding to the excitement will be a pair of events for the Calabogie Formula Libre Club. The VARAC Sportsmen’s Division has reserved 75 minutes of track time, spilt into three sessions, with the combined Radical Canada Cup and the F2000 Canada Series taking to the circuit for a pair of 30 minute races.
Two weeks later (June 12-14) two-wheeled action takes over the 5.05-kilomtre, 20 turn circuit for the MV Agusta Canadian Superbike Race Weekend.
MV Agusta was recently named as the title sponsor for the opening round of the Mopar Canadian Superbike Series as the country’s premiere motorcycle racing division returns to the Calabogie facility following a six year hiatus.
“We are very excited with the return of CSBK to our 2015 schedule, racing Calabogie will be an exciting kick off to the season,” remarked Track Manager Jane Blinn.
Adding to the excitement of the MV Agusta Canadian Superbike Championship weekend will be races for the Amateur Superbikes, and the Pro and Amateur 600 division. Completing the schedule will be contests for the vintage motorcycles, courtesy of the VRRA.
Ticket for the May Madness weekend are available at the track or by going to the CASC website, www.casc.on.ca.
On-line ticket sales for the MV Agusta Canadian Superbike Weekend will soon be available on the track’s website, www.calabogiemotorsports.com. For the Superbike weekend, there will be several ticket options available to spectators, including bleacher seating in Corner One and off-site camping at Calabogie Highlands Golf Course.
