Halifax, NS, (June 6, 2017) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is headed to Petty International Raceway, located just outside of Moncton, NB this Saturday for the Tour’s first visit to the province this season. The 150-lap feature marks round two of 12 for the popular regional touring series. Approximately 25 teams from across the Maritimes are expected for Saturday’s event. Atlantic Tiltload Heat Races will set the field and are slated to get underway at 6:00 PM.

Two-time Series Champion Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) has the early point lead after taking home a victory at the Season Opener Lucas Oil 150 at Scotia Speedworld on Victoria Day weekend. Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) who won this event last season currently sits second in the championship point standings. Reigning Series Champion Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) enters round two in third spot. Younger brother and Exide Batteries Rookie of the Year contender Jarrett Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) sits fourth followed by Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, PE) who rounds out the top five.

The Exide Batteries Rookie of the Year competition also enters round two on Saturday. Jarrett Butcher currently sits atop of the standings followed by Robbie MacEwen (Charlottetown, PE) and Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS) who both had great runs in the season opener finishing eighth and 11th respectively. Stephen Lively (Shubenacadie, NS), who made his Pro Stock debut at the Lucas Oil 150 and finished just outside the top 15, is still well within the hunt for the prestigious title.

Also joining the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour this Saturday at Petty International Raceway are Street Stocks, Mini Stocks and a Limited Late Model 50.

Admission (cash only) for Saturday is $30.00 for adults, $10.00 for youth (8-18 years old); pit admission is $35.00. Children 7 and under are admitted for free.
