@pettyraceway_nb • @ProStockTour • Halifax, NS, (June 22, 2016) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is headed to Petty International Raceway, located just outside of Moncton, NB this Saturday for the Tour’s first visit to the province this season. The 100-lap feature marks round four of 12 for the popular regional touring series. Approximately 20 teams from across the Maritimes are expected for Saturday’s event. Atlantic Tiltload Qualifying will get underway at 6:00 PM. Tickets available at the gate on race day.

Cassius Clark (Farmington, ME) is the current point leader on the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour after winning his second race of the season last weekend at Scotia Speedworld. Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) sits in second position while reigning series champion Donald Chisholm (Antigonsish, NS) is third. Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) and 2015 Exide Batteries Rookie of the Year DJ Casey (Prospect, NS) sit fourth and fifth respectively.

Leading the New Brunswick charge into the Petty 100 are home province drivers Sarah McKay (Quispamsis, NB) and Byron Bartlett (Rothesay, NB). McKay is a third year driver on the series and has seen success at Petty International Raceway in past races. Bartlett is a veteran of stock car racing in the province and called the high banked River Glade oval home last year as he campaigned in the Late Model Sportsman division.

Also joining the field and making his Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour debut is Matt Rodgers of Smithtown, NB. Rodgers is making the transition from the Sportsman division to Pro Stock and will join the Series for the next two events. The Rodgers family has a rich history of stock car racing in the province with Matt’s brother Andrew, their father Steve and grandfather Bob all enjoying success throughout their racing endeavors.

Mini Stock, Street Stock and Bandolero classes will race on the undercard prior to the 100 lap feature. Admission (cash only) for Petty International Raceway on Saturday is $25.00 for adults, $10.00 for youth (8-18 years old); pit admission is $30.00. Children 7 and under are admitted for free.
