Peterborough, ON (August 9, 2017)- In a pair of 35-lap features at Peterborough Speedway, a pair of veterans would score the victories, while another used consistency to lock himself into the pole for the Autumn Colours Classic.
Following up his win at Flamboro Speedway, Charlie Gallant was strong out of the gate at Peterborough Speedway and scored the victory in the first feature. Tyler Hawn finished second for a season-best finish, followed by Kelly Balson in third for his second straight podium. Adrian Foster finished fourth for his first career OSCAAR top-five, with Dario Capirchio in fifth with his second straight top-five. Jamie Richardson and Glenn Watson would round out the field. Notably, it marks the first finish outside of the top-six for Watson this season.
The second feature saw fan favourite Kelly Balson make his way to the front, scoring his second career OSCAAR victory in front of the hometown crowd. Hawn finished second once again, with Foster in third for his first career OSCAAR podium. Capirchio finished fourth for a career-best finish, followed by Watson, Gallant and Richardson.
With both features averaged together, the pair of seconds worked out perfectly for Tyler Hawn as he locked himself into the pole position for the Autumn Colours Classic. Kelly Balson’s second feature win also helped him nicely as he locked himself into the outside of the front row. Charlie Gallant was third overall, followed by Adrian Foster, Dario Capirchio, Glenn Watson and Jamie Richardson.
Despite enduring a rough night, Glenn Watson remains your OSCAAR Outlaw Super Late Model points leader, 20 markers ahead of Charlie Gallant. Tyler Hawn is third, followed by Jamie Richardson and John Cadman.
The OSCAAR Outlaw Super Late Models will be back in action at Sauble Speedway on August 19.
