MISSISSAUGA, ONT (April 25, 2013) – Nissan is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Thomas as Director of Marketing for Nissan Canada Inc, replacing Judy Wheeler who is named Regional Vice President of Nissan North America, Southeast Region. In this role Brian will be responsible for all planning and implementation of Nissan marketing efforts across Canada, as well as product planning and vehicle sales incentive development.
“Judy has been an important part of the Nissan Canada team overseeing the successful launch of several core models including Sentra, Pathfinder and Altima, and we wish her continued success in her new position with Nissan North America,” said Christian Meunier, President of Nissan Canada. “With extensive and diverse experience within the automotive sector including marketing, brand communications and dealer integration, Brian Thomas is a welcome addition to the Nissan Canada executive team.”
Thomas joins Nissan Canada from Volkswagen of America where he most recently served as the Executive General Manager, Brand Experience and Dealer Integration. In this role he was responsible for all Volkswagen’s experiential marketing strategy and execution, including the auto show programs, events, sponsorships and partnerships, as well as dealer integration. Previous to this, he spent over ten years with DaimlerChrysler in a variety of marketing and advertising positioon.
