After more then six weeks of accepting nominations for the inaugural inductees into the Napa Auto Parts Brockville/Finish Line Web Design Brockville Speedway Hall of Fame through the Speedway Facebook page, we are very excited to announce the nominees for the class of 2012, and voting is now open.
Over the six weeks of nominations, there were 24 different names collected. Several names were nominated more then once, but quantity only counts in the voting that begins today at BrockvilleSpeedway.com.
Amongst the nominees are Tony Corcoran, John Dahm, Ovide Doiron, Marcel Lafrance, Fred Gibson, Pat O’Brien Sr., Tony Blake, Rick Wilson, Pat O’Brien, Dave Heaslip, Bob McCreadie, Danny O’Brien, Doug Carlyle, Howard Shaw, Barry Poitras, Harold Billings, Denzil Billings, Randy Ritskes, Richard Stephenson, Jack Theorett, Hugh Naylor, Don Carlyle, as well as original BOS founder Ralph Hurley, and fan, car owner, and former official Ken Stover.
Voting will take place now until NAPA Auto Parts night at the Brockville Speedway on Saturday, July 28th where the inaugural class will be introduced to the Brockville Speedway fans.
Napa Auto Parts/Finish Line Web Design Brockville Speedway Hall of Fame inductees will be showcased in a designated spot behind the main grandstand in a display for all to see. Each inductee will also receive a commemorative plaque stating that they are in the Hall of Fame.
