Mat Williamson from St. Catharines, Ontario won the $2,666.66 third annual Brian Stevens Memorial on Zavitz Financial Strategies & Z.F.S Benefit Solutions Night at the Merrittville Speedway on Victoria Day Monday.
Belleville, Ontario’s Charlie Sandercock won his first career RUSH Late Model Touring Series feature event. Mitch Dumont from Welland, Ontario won his first Eataly Foods Pro 4 Truck Challenge powered by Tomaski Racing. Alex Riley from Thorold, Ontario won his first career main event for the Central Fabricating 4 Cylinders.
“This car was hooked up again tonight” stated Williamson in victory lane. Williamson ended the two year stranglehold of this event that Erick Rudolph had as Rudolph won the first two editions of the Brian Stevens Memorial. “We beat one heck of a racecar driver tonight” Williamson added. “I’ve never went three for three and it is a huge accomplishment and really cool to do that,” Williamson continued.
