CAYUGA, ONTARIO (April 2, 2013) – Jarrod Kolne and the MJJ Racing Team will be returning to the DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series with the help of some new sponsors and a upgraded Moser Engineering Read End, in an attempt to defend their 2012 Modified Eliminator Championship.
Joining MJJ Racing this season is Tim Orser Residential Lift Services, who provide consulting, installing and repair services for various types of stairs, decks, and residential elevators. Also joining MJJ Racing is Mike O Automotive in the Niagara Region and returning for their 6th season RJ’s Service & Performance in Hamilton.
With the new sponsorship, MJJ Racing’s schedule for 2013 will include all twelve DSE Sportsman Racing Series events, the entire Ontario Street Car Association (OSCA), and a few select other specialty events during the course of the season.
Impressively, Jarrod’s first Modified Eliminator Championship came in his first year of Bracket Racing.
“My goal every year is to at least win one round, and I consider the year a success, however going into last season with the DSE Sportsman Series, I really had no idea what to expect”
Previous to racing in the DSE Sportsman Racing Series, Jarrod and MJJ Racing competed in the OSCA’s 12.90 and Open Comp classes where they won Two 12.90 championships and One Open Comp Championship.
Jarrod attributes his success to all the people who have helped him over the years
” I have to thank my Dad, Mike Kolne, all of the Cayuga Dragway Staff, The OSCA, DSE Sportsman Racing Officials, all of our Sponsors and special thanks to Neale Armstrong and the late Digger O’Neil for all their advice and help,” said Kolne.
