STROUD, ON (June 6, 2018)- Running in the top-10 at Sunset Speedway, a mechanical problem in the final laps caused Cameron McGlashan not to finish the feature.
McGlashan started off the night by showing speed with a third-place finish in both of his qualifying heats.
Starting eighth for the 25-lap feature, he began to make his way forward, moving up into seventh in the early stages, where he’d remain through the middle portion of the feature. With a lack of cautions, it was hard to catch anybody else ahead of him as the leaders were able to sprint away from the field. McGlashan seemed destined for a seventh-place finish, but on the last lap, the car would shut off, causing him to fade back to 15th by the time he took the checkered flag.
The Dave Middel led team will make the necessary repairs to the mustang in hopes to have a successful run in the next night out at Sunset Speedway, which is June 30.
McGlashan is proud to receive sponsorship from Arbor Aces Tree Care Inc, ORVAuto, and Orillia Metal Fabrication.
