Belleville, ON (March 6, 2019) – Corner2 Incorporated and Maxxis are proud to announce the launch of a new grassroots endurance road racing series: MAXXIS Enduro. This new series will be open for competition starting June 2019 in Ontario.

An amateur-level endurance racing series, MAXXIS Enduro is committed to providing affordable racing for grassroots competitors. The series will be featured on mixed race tracks, including road courses and ovals, for a unique and out of the box racing experience. The endurance format means that a typical race will be time certain, with a three-hour limit. With different categories based on lap time, competitors will be seeking supremacy in their own classes.

“I am very pleased to add this new series to our product line,” said John Bondar, owner of Corner2. “Grassroots motorsports is where it all begins, and we need to focus on this aspect if we want motorsports to grow in Canada. We are expanding our reach to provide accessibility in a well-organized and fun environment.”

“Launching this new series was a rewarding experience,” added Dominique Bondar, general manager and promoter of MAXXIS Enduro. “We have been working on this for about two years, and it all came together quite nicely in the past few months. With the help of Maxxis Canada, we want to offer a series based on affordability without compromising safety. I am excited to be part of this project, and I am looking forward to starting this new adventure.”

Maxxis is the exclusive tire of the MAXXIS Enduro series. As a brand, Maxxis is associated with winners, including Olympic athletes and world-record holders across an array of racing disciplines. Maxxis provides high-quality tires that win in competition and perform on the road. Pushing the limits of technology, Maxxis gives racers the traction they need. Ordering, service and distribution will be done through Groupe Touchette Inc., exclusive distributor of Maxxis in Canada.

Maxxis Canada issued a statement regarding the new series: “Maxxis Canada is happy to be partnering with Corner2 Inc. We are motorsport enthusiasts, and the Maxxis Enduro gives us the perfect opportunity to showcase the quality and durability of our products. The Maxxis brand is known worldwide for its off-road DNA and involvement in motorsports, so this is a great opportunity for Maxxis Canada to introduce itself to the Canadian motorsport scene and start gaining brand enthusiasts. We hope for a long-lasting relationship, and we look forward to working with John and Dominique.”
