TORONTO, ON – The 2025 GT World Challenge America season is drawing to a close, with the Indianapolis 8 Hour set to be the toughest race of the year. JMF Motorsports is aiming for an overall race victory while chasing the 2025 GT World Challenge America PRO Championship.
All PRO teams at the Indianapolis 8 Hour must field three drivers, with at least one being an FIA Silver-rated competitor. For this event, JMF will pair season-long regulars Michai Stephens (Silver) and Mikael Grenier (Gold) with Austrian DTM stand-out Lucas Auer (Platinum).
The No. 34 Mercedes-AMG sits second in the championship standings after a season of strong podium finishes. “With the strong driver pairing of Stephens and Grenier, it was important for us to find a driver who would complement their success and give us the best chance at the Indianapolis finale,” said JMF Motorsports CEO Danny Kok.
Factory AMG driver Mikael Grenier said the team is ready. “We are looking forward to our last race of the season, and the most important one for us at JMF. This race comes at the right time for us, as we have improved a lot during the season and we are ready to fight for the championship. Having Lucas with us will be a big boost. I have raced with him many times and have always enjoyed it.”
“I am really looking forward to joining Michai, Mikael and JMF Motorsports for the Indy 8 Hour,” said Auer. “We are well prepared and ready to push hard for a strong result.”
JMF Motorsports will also unveil a special livery for the Indianapolis 8 Hour. “This is a special event and, with the race finishing under the lights at the Brickyard, we decided to make the car stand out a little more,” Kok said. “The familiar design will not change, but we are adding a little flash.”
The race will be streamed live on multiple platforms. Fans can follow on the GT World Challenge website via the “Watch Live” feature, the GT World YouTube channel, or the SRO Twitch feed for an interactive experience. The Indianapolis 8 Hour takes the green flag October 18, 2025 at 12:20 p.m. Eastern time.
Founded in 2020 by Canadian motorsport enthusiast John Farrow, JMF Motorsports fields a single-car entry in GT World Challenge America, a two-car program in GT4 America, and a two-car team in the Touring Car America series.
