LONDON, ON- Matt Pritiko is set to return to Flamboro Speedway this Saturday, July 5th for the second round of the Grisdale Triple Crown. In his last Flamboro appearance, Pritiko was dominant, leading all 75-laps to claim the opening round of the Pro Late Model mini-series.
“Flamboro’s starting to become one of my favourite tracks”, smiles Pritiko when asked about his recent success at the Hamilton-area 1/3 mile.
“When we first ran here, we couldn’t really get a handle on it”, explains Pritiko. “But lately, it feels as though we’ve really hit on something. I’m confident we could pull down back to back wins in the Grisdale [Triple Crown] Series”
Pritiko will enter July 5th eager to rebound from a frustrating performance at Delaware’s Canada Day 100 on June 27th.
“We definitely didn’t have the performance we were hoping for at Delaware”, remarks Pritiko about his 8th place finish. “It was an up-and-down today. We started the feature with throttle and carburetor problems. The car seemed to come alive just after halfway, but then it faded again”
“It was an off night for us”, continues Pritiko. “Those are going to happen in this sport. What’s most important is how you rebound from them”
The London, ON shoe stands an excellent chance of rebounding strongly at Flamboro, after earning a top-3 and a victory in two Flamboro appearances this season.
“Our team is more than just a little excited to get back to action at Flamboro, have a strong run and remind ourselves exactly what we’re capable of”
Pritiko enters July 5th’s 75-lap event leading the Grisdale Triple Crown points over Flamboro stalwarts Dale Shaw and David Elliott.
