Toronto, ON – Canadian motorsports rising star Mac Clark is gearing up for a thrilling month of May as he prepares to tackle two pivotal races in the USF Pro 2000 Championship. Representing DEForce Racing, Clark’s recent performance has propelled him to third place in the championship standings after two race events thus far in 2024. With the Indianapolis Grand Prix at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Carb Night Classic at Lucas Oil Raceway Park on the horizon, Clark is poised to continue his upward climb.
“I am relatively happy with our performance thus far in the USF Pro 2000 Championship,” remarked Mac Clark. “Every race presents a new opportunity and we are learning every time we hit the track. I am incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of my team, sponsors, and fans. Pumped to gear up for the month of May, where we will be chasing that first win. Together, our MCR team is ready to take on the challenges that lie ahead.”
The Indianapolis Grand Prix, held at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway between May 9th and 11th, will see Clark take on the competition alongside the NTT IndyCar Series stars.
Following this event, Mac will shift his focus to the Carb Night Classic oval race at Lucas Oil Raceway Park on May 24th, where he will battle it out under the lights in a high-stakes showdown days before the 108th running of the Indy 500.
Mac’s determination to conquer the Carb Night Classic is further fueled by his victory in the event last year competing in the USF2000 category, where he dominated the Freedom 75 during his first oval competition. As he transitions to the USF Pro 2000 level, competing in the Freedom 90, Clark aims to replicate his success and secure another win. With the race also offering 1.5 times the championship points, the stakes are high for him and his competitors.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our 2024 sponsors, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in our journey this year. Bill Clubine of Clubine Motorsports, Angelo Paletta of TNG Exotics, and Cory Zass of Actuarial Risk Management have played pivotal roles in our racing endeavors, providing invaluable support. Without their commitment, competing at the highest level would not be possible.
