MARCH 12, 2019)- While the Queenston OSCAAR Modifieds are seeing several newcomers, there are also some familiar returning faces as well. 2017 Champion Luke Gignac will once again be driving ADAMS Motorsports’ No. 99 for the fourth straight season.

“I think the upcoming season should be very good,” he commented. “It looks like a decent schedule for the Modifieds.”

Gignac enters the year knowing the what the team is capable of, as they were able to score a top-10 finish in the standings last year despite Gignac missing some races due to a hand injury. In total, he was able to score five top-five and eight top-10’s in feature competition.

“Our goal for the team is pretty simple – the main thing is that we have fun,” he said. “That being said, we also like to be competitive and I see no reason that we shouldn’t be able to do both!”

The 2019 Queenston OSCAAR Modified schedule will see Gignac and the No. 99 Dwinnells Family Movers, TSS Top Shops, Port’s Heating and Cooling, Duckworth’s Fish and Chips Orillia, and Heritage Heating Contractors travel across the province to five different tracks.

“I would have to say that I am most looking forward to the Jukasa (Motor Speedway) race as it will be my first ever time racing there after I missed last year,” he noted. “But I also am looking forward to getting back to Delaware.”

For Gignac, the decision to continue modified racing into a fourth season was easy, in knowing that this year’s competition will be unmatched.

“The state of the Modifieds is looking pretty decent,” he said. “It looks like there are a lot more cars in the series this year, and with more competition, it can only get better.”

ADAMS Motorsports is proud to be sponsored by Dwinnells Family Movers, TSS Top Shops, Port’s Heating and Cooling, Duckworth’s Fish and Chips Orillia, and Heritage Heating Contractors.
